Focus on empowerment for young girls addressing issues of self-esteem and identity. I conducted 2x weekly round-table style discussions to enlighten girls about concerning issues.
Featured in this slideshow are several of my students who are practicing for an upcoming talent show where they will be performing their own dance routines.
Using classroom materials, we fashion a private area just for the girls.
Also seen is a student who I'm allowing additional time to work on a project while I oversee the girls group .

Social Change Songwriting at Fenway
'BLIND CITIZENS' Song performed at Fenway Park
As a singer/songwriter I have found a place for my passion and commitment to social change through music. Most recently I have written a song, "Blind Citizens" at the request of Governor Duval Patrick for the annual Fenway Park Commonwealth Corps Awards Ceremony. A video performance of the song is provided.
The song was written as a commentary on the goals of social welfare and humanitarianism in Boston and the World over.

Raising money for Afghanistan Zabuli School for Girls through songs for social change.
As part of this mission, I was scouted at a live performance I did at the South Shore Conservatory. I was invited to perform my original music which consists of songs for social change for the Annual Duxbury Seafest. I was tasked to help raise money for this incredible mission to maintain stability for the Zabuli School for girls located in Afghanistan. We raised over $2000 in just under 2 hours.
As a special donation to the community and to the fundraising efforts of Karla Romero for Congress, I provided an 11 piece band for a 2hour live Christmas Special broadcast on Ch. 9 Cambridge CCTV as part of a effort to raise money for underpriveleged youth in Boston and Cambridge during the holiday season.
Viewers of the Christmas special, seen below in a video link, were urged to call in and make their donations as the band played social change songs and Christmas themed songs. Gifts and food were shared out to the needy families in attendance at the studio in Cambridge.
Along with this performnace, we donated several other performances as part of a 3 month effort to cataupault with Mrs. Karla Romero, an independent Hispanic candidate running for Congress in MA.
